2008 Mercury Prize Shortlist Announced

The nominations for the 2008 Mercury Music Prize have been announced, with a pretty solid shortlist (as always). There are a few that we definitely expected to see, such as Radiohead’s In Rainbows and Robert Plant & Alison Krauss’ Raising Sand, but there were a few welcome surprises in there as well. It is great to see British Sea Power getting a nod for Do You Like Rock Music?, and we’re quite happy to see The Last Shadow Puppets’ The Age Of The Understatement on there as well.

The winner will be announced on Tuesday, September 9.
