School Of Seven Bells Sign To Ghostly International

The family tree of the Secret Machines continues to add new branches, as former member Benjamin Curtis’ School Of Seven Bells readies to release a 7″ single followed by their debut full-length album. The band has officially signed with indie label Ghostly International, which will release the “Half Asleep / Caldo” single on vinyl and online on September 16. The full album, Alpinisms, will arrive in stores on October 28.

The band was created while Secret Machines were on tour with On!Air!Library!. Twin sisters Alejandra and Claudia Deheza hit it off, and School Of Seven Bells was born. The trio released a few singles in 2007 on Sonic Cathedral, Table Of The Elements and Suicide squeeze, offering an early look at the direction of their music.

They will be hitting the road in November with M83, so make sure you catch ‘em if they’re rolling through a town near you.
