4AD’s roster just got a little bigger. The label has signed Department of Eagles, which features Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen, Chris Taylor and Chris Bear, along with Fred Nicolaus. The group’s label debut, In Ear Park, will be released on October 7.
After Daniel and Fred met at NYU in 2000, the duo started to mess around with samples and turned them into songs using computers borrowed by Chris. Small world, eh? While we wait for the LP to come out, waste some time by picking up a download, and then peep the tracklisting.
