Rage Against The Machine Performs Acapella At The RNC

Making an unscheduled appearance at a rally yesterday on the grounds of the Minnesota State Capital, Rage Against The Machine set forth to headline the rally concert on the same stage where Anti Flag had just wrapped up their set. But when it came time for the band to perform, officials shut off the electricity and the Minnesota State Police formed a barricade around the band refusing to let them on stage.

As reported by Above The Fold, after 20 minutes of the crowd chanting “Let Them Play,” “Music is not a Crime,” “We’ll be good, we promise,” and a riveting rendition of the national anthem, the band came into the crowd and performed two songs acapella. Armed with only a megaphone, and thousands of fans, RATM played a 10min “set” of “Bulls On Parade” and “Killing In The Name Of”.
