I guess the recent events could be described as Labels vs. Fun Part III. I mean WMG is back with Youtube, but the tension with the users are still there. There’s a short video that sums up the recent state of affairs:

When I read this article, I couldn’t believe that WMG’s greed affected its own artists as well. Poor Missy Elliot. It disgusts me that such an avaricious company is still in business even with its lowly stock of $5-$6. All I have to say is that karma will eventually bite them in their money grubbing behinds and they’ll go bankrupt. I just wish there was something I could do to help the people caught in the crossfire and the struggling new artists out there. Until this mess is settled, we’ll just have to continue fighting as best we can.
