Time to add one more electrifyingly fun band to the list of must-sees for the spring. The energetically, beat-tastic band YACHT, recently announced new details for their upcoming tour, which is slated to start in Perth, Australia on March 1.
The Portland, OE natives will be making their way back to the states on March 9, after touring Australia, and will be kicking off their U.S. dates in Las Vegas. Aside from their upcoming tour, YACHT will also be releasing their second full-length album on DFA records, entitled See Mystery Lights, which is due out in late spring.
YACHT is fronted by Jona Bechtolt, whom Vibe magazine called indie rock’s Timbaland, and his partner in crime, Clair L. Evans, who joined the band just last year. Together the two put on quite the body-shaking show with their quirky beats and unique dance-moves. Chairlift will be joining the bill for YACHT’s U.S. dates and the two will be making their way through the Midwest and Southeast, until they conclude their tour in New York on April 10, at The New Museum.
