iTunes Replay Could Allow Users To Stream Music From iTunes To Anywhere

After the recent news that Apple was working out a deal to remove DRM from tracks, we’re excited to jump on the rumor mill for the next big thing to benefit iTunes users — a feature called iTunes Replay could allow users to stream purchased tracks and media to any place they’re logged in.

It’s called iTunes Replay, andthe word is that the service would potentially include the ability to stream songs to your iPhone or Apple TV. AppleInsider, who broke the news, said that Apple is “believed” to be prepping the feature for the next major software release of iTunes, but no idea yet on whether you’ll be charged or the feature will come standard with your software.

This could really benefit users of Apple TV, as well as iPhone and iPod touch, neither of which have the storage space to have huge video files at the ready. But storage isn’t an issue anymore if Apple is doing it for you, letting you stream the content on-demand whenever and wherever your little heart desires.

Of course, it is all just the stuff of rumors (and dreams) right now. It sounds amazing — but maybe too amazing to be true. Or at least, too amazing to be free. We’re not holding our breath.
