MF DOOM Is Now Just DOOM, To Drop New Album In March

Doom is imminent. The much anticipated and long-awaited (four years to be exact) new solo album by MF DOOM finally has a release date. Along with the announcement came the word he is officially now going by DOOM (according to his lawyers, this was the best course of action).

Actually, the name change because of legal issues with Marvel Comics is only speculation on our part, but DOOM’s Born Like This will officially hit the streets March 23 on Lex Records. Mostly produced by DOOM himself, the album also features production by the late, great J Dilla and Jake One, as well as guest spots by founding Wu Tang Clan members Ghostface and Raekwon.

The album’s title, Born Like This, comes from Charles Bukowski’s poem “Dinosauria, We.”
