Johnny Marr has become a great addition to The Cribs. Not only is the former Smiths guitarist aiding the band musically, but he is now an ear piercer as well. Don’t believe us? Well, we’ve got the video of Marr piercing Cribs band mate Ryan Jarman’s ear during a recording session for their new album.
The two musicians took a break while recording the new album, which is being produced by Nick Launay, and Marr took the liberty of sticking the needle through Jarman’s numbed up ear. Don’t worry though, Jarman was well equipped for the piercing party, holding a tall class of white wine in hand while Marr worked at getting a hole in his ear lobe.
The video is also accompanied by a sneak preview of some of the music the Cribs have been recording in the studio. and if that’s not enough, Jarman dubbed the Cribs as a hipster band, saying “We should bring the ear piercing back in vogue, because we are a hipster band!”
