stellastarr* Announces Album Release And First Tour In Over 3 Years

It has been a few years since we have heard anything new from New York nu-post-punkers, stellastarr*. But the band has just wrapped up recording their third album, Civilized, and will be releasing it come early July and then they’ll hit the road.

Civilized will be released on July 7, and the band will kick off their tour a day later in Boston. stellastarr* will be touring across the country throughout the month of July and into August, where they will end on August 4 in Seattle, Washington at Chop Suey. Thus far the band will be playing 13 dates in promotion for the new record, but plan on adding more dates in the near future. Tickets for stellastarr*’s tour go on sale Friday, May 1, and if you want a feel for the bands new material, you can hear tracks on their MySpace.
