Animal Collective’s Noah Lennox’s side project Panda Bear has been featured in the award winning short-film, I Had A Dream I Went to Coney Island, by Sherwin Akbarzadeh. The film recently won the Spike Lee Mini-Masterpiece at the second Babelgum Online Film Festival.

The track, “A Musician and a Filmmaker” is from Panda Bear’s 1998 self-titled debut and is used to accompany Akbarzadeh’s vision of New York’s Coney Island on 8mm film. The track helps accentuate Akbarzaeh’s surrealistic view of the iconic New York attraction, which is home to Siren Fest and the ever-famous roller coaster, the Cyclone.

Regardless of his obvious fascination with Coney Island, Akbarzadeh is actually an Australian-based award-winning filmmaker who has recently been focusing on music videos and video installation pieces.
