Bruce Springsteen To Be Last Performer At Giants Stadium

brucespringsteen

The Boss himself announced last night that he is slated to play Giants Stadium before its demolishment later this year. The venue, where the New York Giants and the New York Jets play home games, is set to be torn down after the 2009 football season with the new Meadowlands Stadium opening early next year.

Bruce Springsteen played neighboring Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J. Thursday when he made the announcement himself from stage. He and backing E Street Band will be back in the fall for their Working on a Dream tour to be the final major musical act to play the stadium. Tickets for the show go on sale June 1 for the September 30, October 2, and October 3 dates.

Does anyone out there know if Giant Stadium is a Ticketmaster venue?
