DJ Hero Unveiled, Mashes Beasties and Foo Fighters

We posted earlier this week on the latest installment of the Rock Band series and its journey through the madness of Beatlemania. But the crazy people at Activision, developers of the Guitar Hero franchise, were not to be outdone. Opening up the festivities this week at the E3 video game industry conference (with Eminem and Jay-Z joining for a pre-show performance, no less) Activision announced the October release of DJ Hero, the new DJ simulation adventure which Rolling Stone reports, won’t leave any Guitar Hero addicts in gamer dust. While still opening up the weight and friend loss opportunities to hip hop and electronica enthusiasts, players, now using a custom plastic turntable setup, will still be able to scratch and spin their way through a mash-up of holdovers “Sabotage” and “Monkeywrench.” Single dudes unite.
