New Mount Eerie Album Dropping in August

phil
Phil Elverum of Microphones fame is readying another effort under his Mount Eerie moniker, a bit of news that, if you happen to own a pair ears, should make you feel like there’s a reason to keep going. Maybe. Wind’s Poem is purported to be a continuation of Elverum’s love affair with black metal, the fruits of which were there for the plucking on his Black Wooden Ceiling Opening EP, which dropped last year. Those fruits were black, but they were awesome. So amplify that by thirty and you’ve found a Elverum-stamped wall of ambient sound worth swimming in night after night. Also: don’t do drugs.
