…And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead are returning to the states after touring Europe, Asia, and Australia on the heels of their highly acclaimed album, The Century of Self, kicking off this leg of the tour with a show at the Williamsburg Waterfront, hosted by Jelly NYC’s Summer Pool Party Series. (More dates after the jump.) Up until this summer, this free concert series was held at McCarren Park pool, which is currently being reverted from a party pit back into an actual swimming pool. Also currently in transformation is the Pool Party Series website. In other McCarren Park news, BK Vegan reports that the Parks Department plans to sell the naming rights of the park and its pool, despite its significance in local history, and Brooklynites are not pleased. You gotta fight for your right to pool party.
