Kyp Malone of TV on the Radio and Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson are two of New York City’s most compelling songwriters, and they will respectively be the first to tell you so. Dazed Digital got the two bards together to talk about some of life’s most important topics: music, girls, and the Big Apple. Apparently the two met when Kyp hit on Miles’ girlfriend, but he made up for it by loaning Miles some CDs. The reconciliation was so successful that Miles claims that Kyp has “pioneered a unique and impressive vocal style that people are already imitating,” and Kyp says Miles is “without a contemporary rival when it comes to story telling.” High praise all around. Also, Kyp Malone is really into NYC’s “radical puppetry” right now.
