I thought Kanye West had taken the cake in regards to crazy-ass attention-grabbing schemes, but it seems that Evan Dando is giving the artist a run for his money. In an interview with UK tabloid The Sun, Dando allegedly discussed the September 11 attacks, saying that they were “kind of beautiful in a weird way” because he “always wanted to see a plane crash.” He continued, “It was nothing to do with the planes hitting the buildings, them falling down. I know that for sure. It was a bomb planted in the building. Maybe it was al-Qaeda that planted it, but I very much doubt it.”
