Jason Molina of Magnolia Electric Co. always records with vinyl in his mind. It’s nothing personal to the new mediums of the world, just the way he’s used to doing things. So it makes plenty of sense that he and the boys just released a 7″ available at your local independent record store. There’s something to be said for knowing your audience. The single, “Rider.Shadow.Wolf,” contains a bit more spunk that most of their ditties, and the B-side returns you to their somber home with a stripped down version of the title track from their summer release, “Josephine.” (Via: Paste)
