Sometimes it’s fun to write sentences that you realize people could read on the ole’ World Wide Web many years down the road and have little context in terms of when in an artist’s career it was written. Like this one: It’s been a pretty tough year for Amy Winehouse. None too short on the dramatics either. But while we’re generally underwhelmed by TMZ-type music celebrity headlines, her antics generally seem to translate into particularly worthwhile pop jams. So we say bring it on!
Island Records co-president recently spoke to BBC about WInehouse’s progress on the album, mentioning it should come to fruition next year. He also noted he’s heard some demos that “absolutely floored” him. Granted he’s paid to say stuff like that. But still… flooring can’t happen like every day over there. (Via: Gigwise)
