Yesterday the website for the all-female 2010 Lilith Fair tour launched, and the late ’90s came flooding back. They’re offering a free Sarah McLachlan MP3 but it has little in the way of information, however, with only tour stops—not even dates—and absolutely nothing in the form of a roster. So, in lieu of knowing who will actually tour, we thought we’d make a little Fantasy League of the Main Stage acts, featuring some of the artists that are sure to be on the roster and some that we really really wish were. Feel free to do the same in the comments with your real email address, and whoever comes closest wins a Sarah McLachlan CD and a bag of lavender scented bath salts.

Everyone you mentioned in the shoo-ins and likelies (minus Christina Milian- for some reason that seem an awkward fit to me) plus Kelly Clarkson, Ingrid Michaelson, Jenny Lewis, India.Arie, Imogean Heap, Jill Scott, Aimee Mann, Erykah Badu and Bat For Lashes.
Possible surprise (but kinda boring) top biller (other than Sarah, of course): Sheryl Crow
Possible AWESOME surprise top biller: Bjork (didn’t she go out with a nearly all-female band and chorus on her last tour?)

PS– That’s not to say that Sarah is a boring top biller– just that any other big name would be top biller next to her… the kinda boring part was aimed at Sheryl (she’s lost her edge since those first couple of albums).

Hmmm people… wishful thinking. You are going too indie for this ish. Remember that this thing always had a heavy granola, hairy armpit, birkenstock quotient – you know, Indigo Girls, the annoying woman from the Dawson’s Creek theme song, that sort of deal.

Are you kidding? Imogen Heap and Annie Clark. Just those two would be the best concert. If the point is to showcase the best female talent, how can you omit the two most creative women I’ve ever heard? Throw in Joni (doubtul she’d be bothered) and I would fly across the world!
