Julian Casablancas Releasing Christmas Single

juliantokyo

Of the many adjectives that have been used to describe Julian Casablancas this decade, “corny” isn’t one we’ve ever allowed someone use in our midst. Casablancas, who just released his first solo full-length today, is planning on releasing a cover of Saturday Night Live jingle “I Wish It Was Christmas Today” as a single on the 21st of next month. The reasoning is simple. “It was a fun thing to do,” Casablancas told NME. “Everyone seems to do a Christmas song at some point, so I always said to myself I’d do that song. I now checked that off the list of things to do!” We’ve got a feeling Casablancas’ bro/SNL wild man Andy Samberg is going to end up on that recording. We’ll make some “calls” and let you know.
