The New York Post reported yesterday that Gerhardt “Jerry” Fuchs, drummer for !!!, Maserati, Juan McLean and Turing Machine, died late Saturday night after a fall down an elevator shaft in Brooklyn. After attending a Williamsburg benefit to raise money for women in India, Fuchs and a friend became trapped in an elevator stuck between floors. When the two opened the elevator doors and attempted to jump to the nearest floor, Fuchs didn’t make it across successfully. He was 34 years was old.
