Via his Twitter, bassist Nikolai Fraiture said that he and his fellow Strokes are planning to settle into the recording process for their fourth full-length in January. As is the custom, he wrote very briefly:
While the guys are in LA, I went to scout some studios in NYC with Ryan today for what looks like Jan recording!!! mood = f***ing excited!
By Ryan, he is referring to Ryan Gentles, Strokes manager. Despite frontman Julian Casablanca’s recent public opining and worrying that this might not happen anytime in the near future, the above Tweet comes as a great relief. But, it also feels like this is for real: the quiet one of the bunch as far as we’ve come to know them, Nikolai doesn’t tend to exclaim all that often. GET EXCITED.
