New Pavement Recordings “Inevitable”

PavementPavement fans had their prayers answered earlier this year when Malkmus and Co. announced a few reunion shows slated for 2010. Then even more prayers were answered when the indie rock titans announced a European jaunt. Now communiques with heaven are going to be available at Best Buy or somewhere else equally convenient for people that pray for this kind of thing: The Age reports that new tunes from the band aren’t far off. In a recent interview with the Australian publication, guitarist Scott “Spiral Stairs” Kannberg suggested that Pavement’s future in the studio looks about as bright as a Mojave sun, explaining that, “If it’s enjoyable for us, I think it is inevitable that we’ll make some more music.” Tour dates after the jump.
