Introducing… Introducing (The Band)

endtroducingSometimes music these days can completely feel like those now infamous iPhone ads. Feeling depressed and longing for the beach even though your city is covered in 14 inches of snow? We’ve got a band for that.

However, one such description we didn’t think we’d find a match for: nostalgic for a near-exact replication of DJ Shadow’s groundbreaking debut album Entroducing? We apparently now have a band for that.

Introducing is a nine-piece Oxford-based band that has dedicated itself to just that, recreating the sample-based album in its entirety during every set it plays. Of all places, The Economist’s “More Intelligent Life” blog did a brief profile of a recent set. The whole thing is admittedly pretty fascinating. Check out the story here. Video after the jump.
