Though I’ve spent less time with Mark Linkous’ music than other people, the news on Sunday that he had taken his own life has been a horrible bummer. Aside from wondering why, it made me think of 2001’s It’s A Wonderful Life, the first record of his that I bought back in high school. Do you think that title was sardonic? I hope not. I hope he felt like that was the case at some point. Anyway, that record was great. It still is. So is Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot, whose best songs are out in YouTube format for you after the jump.
