Snap and Crackle must be jealous, because only the POP can be found on this dose of upbeat synergy from Moods For Moderns. In vein of Superdrag or Sloan, this three piece from Detroit Rock City try their darndest to implement as many claps, “ooh ooh”s, and “bop bop”s in hopes of altering the moniker to Detroit Pop City. The cats don’t sound anything like they look on the cover, a psychedelic shot of three long haired members of the That 70’s Show Cast. This is a friendly “How ya doing neighbor” pop rock record that would have fit nicely in the movie That Thing You Do.
