What happens when you combine male vocals with a Garbage vibe and toss in
some extra electronica bits circa Depeche Mode? Well, Regency Buck
evidently! The Glaswegian trio has released their second single, “Monkey Girl” and it is
just as advertised. A driving, groovy bassline is combined with slightly vocoded vocals,
drum loops snap along in time and bubbly keyboard noises round out this nu-skool beat
outfit’s offering. Recently inked to a deal with Dreamworks Records, one thinks there
may be bigger things in store for these freaky Scots.
