There seems to be a slight touch hostility towards the TRL fans and bandwagon purple haired kids who have Blink-182 posters up on their wall that appears on the cleverly named Take Off Your Pants And Jacket. Either that or Blink are out to say Fuck as many times as they can for no reason whatsoever. Backstreet Boy bubble gum thing aside, Blink-182 have recorded a fairly solid record. Innocent songs about girls are fine, but the atrociously horrid Happy Holidays, You Bastard seems like a message to all of the parents out there that Blink are silly punks and have no intentions of changing since skyrocketing past the spot light. The album really takes off with the smash single The Rock Show, followed by a slightly touching yet crashing Stay Together For The Kids, and wuvy duvy love song Roller Coaster. Longtime producer Jerry Finn knows how to make his boys sound good, and mixing from Tom Lord-Algae doesnít hurt. The secret track at the end of the disc is kind ofÖ. well itís Blink having fun, although itís reminiscent of Green Dayís “All By Myself”. This is a strong record that will sell a ton of copies and receive heavy radio airplay = job well done.
