The Argument

I paid $10 for the The Argument, the new album from the D.C. hardcore scene’s longtime brother at arms, Fugazi. We thought that End Hits was their last record, but Ian does want Ian wants, as long as meat, drugs, and sex are not involved. This record is highly subdued and almost “mellow” compared to the angst fueled early days of the band. Fugazi’s political agenda continues to be in tact however, battling modern day demons such as crummy landlords, sponsorship, animal rights, war, and other reasons to lash out at society via an audio recording. Expect intricate guitar strums and noises along with piercing screams and an immediate call for change. The Argument is an example of talented musicians who continue to evolve and move forward, rising above all of the garbage on the surface, from deep below the underground scene. They collectively write a powerful record time and time again, record the music at D.C.’s Inner Ear Studio, and sell it to the masses for $10.
