Beggars Banquet

Sometimes the best records are the ones you get and don’t expect anything from. So it is
with the new single from Glasgow’s Biffy Clyro. The trio’s second single release for
Beggars Banquet is the excellent “Justboy”, a riff-tastic popcore nugget. Evocative of edgy,
emotive US guitar acts like Far or Knapsack or UK label mates Llama
Farmers with a dash of Sunny Day Real Estate for good measure, these Scots
rock in a very Born In The USA matter. The big chorus crashes in, swirling guitars rain
down and the song lodges itself in your dome for hours. That’s the way it works with the
good ones, though, isn’t it?
