Forming an indie United Nations of sorts, hailing from Iceland, Italy and the UK,
Lorien came together three years ago, but just recently burst into the public
consciousness. Their incorporation of sweeping, epic song structure, with alternatively
jangly and driving guitars brings to mind a sonic smoothie blended from
Spiritualized, The Verve and touches of Suede and
Placebo. This sound was enough for the band to be picked up by the man who
managed Soft Cell in their heyday and will be enough for you to hit the repeat
button on more than one occasion to savor the atmospheric dream pop that is
