With only their second full-length, Arlo have managed to crank out an album that will keep rock crazed indie kids partying all summer long. Stab the Unstoppable Hero is a sonic joyride that abounds with catchy hooks and a full-speed ahead guitar attack; not to mention some serious power-pop harmonies. Just for fun, Arlo even threw some good olí fashioned Southern fried rock into the mix with “UP,” which comes complete with twangy vocals and dueling guitars. Personal favorites on the album include the choppy, driving rhythm of “Stoned,” and the infectious, acoustic guitar riff backbone of “Bus Stop.” All in all, the album screams summer, fun, and rock ëní roll ñ whatís not to like?
