Blindside are from Sweden. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “ugh, another Swedish rock band,” but hold on a minute. This hard-rocking quartet is not a Hives rip off band. In fact, they don’t even play garage rock. Blindside, which is made up of four life-long friends, bring the noise with a scorching guitar attack and thunderous rhythm section in the vein of P.O.D. Actually, the band’s US debut, Silence, was produced by Howard Benson, who twisted the knobs for P.O.D.’s 2001 smash album Satellite. Silence is an angst-ridden barrage of extreme sorts, exploding with the kind of intensity kids these days go crazy for. Protect yourself and your valuables, because Blindside is anything but silent.
