Do you like to have fun? Do you like rock & roll music? Do you like to make fun of boy bands? If you donít answer yes to all of these questions, itís time to quit your job and start looking for a career in accounting or some other equally monotonous profession. Now, let me fill you in on OK Go. This Chicago-based quartet formed in 1999 and have since managed to cleverly carve out a sound that is part indie rock, part stadium rock, part straight up pop, and all fun and excitement. Their music isnít filled with irony, sadness or aggressive teen angst. Instead, OK Go pack their tunes with catchy, sing-a-long hooks and loud, foot stomping, hand clapping rhythms. Best of all, Iíve heard that, on occasion, they have closed their shows with a satiric dance routine that rivals the butt-grinding goodness of your pre-teen daughterís favorite TRL superstars. Whatís not to like about that? Look for the album September 17.
