Breakbeat lovers, this oneís for you. Las Vegas super tweakers The Crystal Method have returned from their long lay-off to pound your head with beats and jumpstart your ass onto the floor. Legion Of Boom (nice name, kids; makes me wonder where Solomon Grundy, Sinestro, and Black Manta are these days) is a beatastic record, with enough guest vocals, chunky beats and guitar riffs to keep everyone happy. Joining the Method twins, Scott Kirkland and Ken Jordan on Legion are Bellrays crazy frontwoman Lisa Kelkaula, actress, singer, and model Milla Jovovich, DJ Swamp, rapper Rahzel from The Roots, ex-Limp Bizkit axeman Wes Borland and former Kyuss vocalist John Garcia. The latter two feature prominently on the banging first single ìBorn Too Slowî (as heard on Cornerstone Player .048), but Borland can be found on many tracks, as can the smooth flow of Rahzel. The sharp beats and rolling synths that the ëMethod have been synonymous with over the years are still in full effect, as even though there are many cooks in this kitchen, the master recipe is still being watched over by Kirkland and Jordan to perfection.
