Touch And Go

TV On The Radio hail from Brooklyn, primarily. This progressive three-piece is currently on the tip of hipster tongues everywhere for its blend of danceable electronica, post-punk and all around art quality. The band released the Young Liars EP last year, also on Touch & Go, to a great response from indie kids, critics, and like-minded musicians like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Rapture. TVOTR’s David Sitek actually produced the Yeah Yeah Yeahs Machine EP and Fever To Tell full length, so he was more than ready and able to man the helm for his own band’s new album. Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babe is a tad left of center for your typical alternative audience, but it’s also one of the most ambitious and unique albums to come out this year. If the amount of press the band is getting from just about every media outlet is any indication, TV On The Radio are going to have quite a busy year ahead of them.
