Though Earlimart has been around since the late ‘90s, it was last year’s Everyone Down Here that took them from relatively unknown indie outfit to a full fledged buzz band with a feature on MTV’s Subterranean and domestic and international dates with the likes of Grandaddy, The Walkmen and others. Again tapping into the talents of Earlimart’s chief architect, lead singer, writer and producer, Aaron Espinoza, the band will release their second Palm album, Treble & Tremble, later this month. Like it’s predecessor, Treble & Tremble is an album that only grows more impressive and captivating with repeated listens. Lush string arrangements and swirling electronic elements fill out this album and weave each song into the next, revealing new, hidden intricacies to the listener each time through. “The Hidden Track” will be the first single, but like other great albums, Treble & Tremble is at its best when taken in as a whole. Fans of Grandaddy and Badly Drawn Boy, if they haven’t already, will find a new friend in Earlimart.
