Written with the heart of a poet, Pond’s songs speak to the soul on a subconscious level. You can’t put your finger on it. You don’t know exactly why or how, but each song was written for you, and you alone, about a specific moment in your lifetime. Those summer days you used to spend at the pool, the one who got away, the girl who broke your heart, that one night stand you had in Istanbul with the turkish hooker (well, maybe not that last one) – each of these events and many more are all captured with resounding clarity by Pond’s lyrical genius.
