WOOOOAAAAARRRRHHHHHHH! Brace yourself, for Australian cavetrio Wolfmother are preparing to take over the musical landscape with amps set to 11. Like a mind-melding flashback from an acid trip in 1972, Wolfmother stampede across your brain, leaving havoc in their wake. The throwback triumvirate of Andrew Stockdale (vocals/guitars), Chris Ross (bass and keys) and Myles Heskett (drums) have honed their skills Down Under and are prepared to blow the minds of North American listeners as they have their brethren back home.  Downtuned guitars, primal vocals, and a low-slung groove are what this Antipodean three-piece are all about on their debut US EP, Dimensions. Queens Of The Stone Age, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple are all reference points easily accessed upon first listen. As are opium dens and lava lamps, truth be told. Dirty scuzz rock hasn’t sounded this good since bell bottoms were in fashion the first time, especially on the EP’s title track. Tour dates are on deck and for sheer bombast alone, this is not a show to miss. Start making your plans now.
