OK, so this is a little TMZ meets Page Six for us, but sometimes this stuff is just too good to resist. For a quick recap in case you missed the build-up, former Senator/VP nominee/Presidential nominee John Edwards had an extramarital affair with a woman (one Rielle Hunter) and may or may not have fathered a child with said woman. Anyway, the NYT did a pretty lengthy recap and investigation of the whole ordeal and smoking gun of the piece was provided by formedwards aide Andrew Young. “He wrote that Mr. Edwards once calmed an anxious Ms. Hunter by promising her that after his wife died, he would marry her in a rooftop ceremony in New York with an appearance by the Dave Matthews Band.” Hope she was worth it Johnny.
