I Hate Rock N’ Roll and Videothing (among many others) are teaming up to throw a rowdy benefit show on Sunday Feb 7th in LA to raise money for a friend in need, or in this case, a friend’s mother with cancer. RSVP to Renee@Ihaterocknroll.com to receive information about the location by this Friday. Food will be provided by Vegan Goodies. Also, free Colt 45!
Don’t worry, though: word has it the Super Bowl will also be available at the venue! That means you can bathe yourself in jams while eating your football-shaped cake, too. If you can’t attend and would like to donate, you may do so here. All proceeds will go to the family to help offset some of the medical expenses. List of DJs after the jump.

The idea: two very different bands produce new interpretations of each others’ songs, place results in one neatly packaged 7″. Hot shit, sirs! Darker My Love and Audacity are the two chosen ones to launch Under The Covers: Vol 1. You can order the sweet candy right here, if you feel so inclined to buy something that has the potential to blow that fitted sheet right off your sleep station! Check out one of the originals, Audacity’s “Mr. Alvarez” after the jump. Read the full story
