The Japanbros of Japandroids have added some second-night appearances and festival dates to their current headlining tour. They sold out both of their upcoming NYC and Chicago shows therefore calling for extreme measures..2nd shows! They’ll be at Mercury Lounge in NYC again on Sunday September 27th and Chicago’s Schubas on October 10th. They’ll also be visiting the UK for a few headline dates and a support tour with A Place To Bury Strangers. Stop reading this jargon and check the full dates below:

Yo La Tengo’s songs have always been popular in our hearts. Unfortunately our hearts ever so rarely translate into Soundscan numbers these days, or Japandroids would have done some Miley Cyrus numbers (they basically sing about the same stuff!). But at least now they can be popular in title too, as their upcoming Popular Songs is currently streaming in its entirety on NPR. Check it out!
The preliminary lineup for this year’s CMJ Music Marathon in New York has been announced. The event, which will run from October 20 to 24 at music venues across Manhattan and Brooklyn, will include School of Seven Bells, Broadcast, Japandroids. Mum, Atlas Sound, the Budos Band, Pitbull, the Very Best, Crystal Antlers, Cymbals Eat Guitars, the Antlers, Suckers, Pissed Jeans, and Screaming Females.
