News that Jim James had recorded an EP of George Harrison covers under the not-so-secret psuedonym “Yim Yames” surfaced back in June. Now the world has the chance to purchase this EP, titled Tribute To, and take a listen to these covers, including “Long, Long, Long,” “Behind That Locked Door,” “Love You To,” “My Sweet Lord,” “Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll),” and “All Things Must Pass.” Tribute To comes as a limited edition vinyl (available for pre-order now) which includes both CD and a Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary t-shirt. But for the less fancy of you out there, the album is also available for digital download on the Yim Yames website and in stores as of yesterday.

Have a listen:

My Morning Jacket frontman covers the best of the Fab Four. WE SAID IT!

My Morning Jacket’s Jim James will be releasing an EP of George Harrison covers called Tribute To on ATO Records August 4th. The songs listed below, three solo from All Things Must Pass and two Harrison-penned Beatles songs, were recorded shortly after the late great songwriter passed in 2001. Yames/James’ versions will apparently be low-key, acoustic and, we’re sure, good for sparking some incense and reciting mantras.
Tribute To Tracklist:
1.) Long Long Long
2.) Behind That Locked Door
3.) Love You To
4.) My Sweet Lord
5.) Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll)
6.) All Things Must Pass
