
The Weezer frontman revealed the two will soon be writing songs together in a recent interview with Buzznet.com. To be fair, we’re not mad at Katy Perry. We do rock the straight up pop from time to time. And there’s a possibility these songs could be decent enough. We’re just saying, the idea that this sort of thing mixed with cheesy Lil’ Wayne collaborations doesn’t even feel that out of place, makes high school us pretty bummed. Scottish electrotwiddler and very tall guy Calvin Harris is starting a new series on his YouTube channel entitled “Jam TV.” Born out of frustration of an experience of his own being filmed whilst unable to open a jar of the sweet stuff, Harris has decided to film celebrities doing the deed. (You can read about Harris’s pleas for more upper body strength on his Twitter.)
Though his first episode features American Idol judge Simon Cowell and British money mogul Philip Green via phone, Harris promises in-the-flesh guests soon, Katy Perry even volunteering her skills for the series. What a friend.

So yesterday our editor ashamedly had “I Kissed A Girl” stuck in his head because of some bad timing at the deli when he was getting lunch. Thankfully, there is no need for him to hang his head in shame any longer. We’re all victims of the catchy melody behind Katy Perry’s guilty pleasure hit, so it makes sense that Canadian ‘indietronic’ band, Woodhands would cover the infectious song — and they did a pretty good job of it at that.
