Killers Working On Covers Record

killers

The Killers’ Brandon Flowers told NME last week that his Las Vegas outfit is getting set to begin recording a covers album. Having already hammered out a polarizing cover of Bright Eyes’ “Four Winds” earlier this year, the sequin-loving frontman says selecting a larger set of songs should prove painstaking: “It’s difficult for each of us to pick songs that represent us as individuals. I mean, I have a lot of personalities myself! I’ve gone through everything from Neil Diamond to The Cars.” Drummer Ronnie Verducci meanwhile, cites interest in material from Genesis, Tom Waits, Cyndi Lauper and erm, Fleet Foxes. The band, currently on tour in support of their latest pop opus, Day And Age, have brought along a mobile recording rig and will be laying down tracks while they’re on the road.
