New Zealand’s pop princess Ladyhawke swung through our New York to play the Bowery Ballroom after her earlier scheduled performance at Santos Party House was canceled due to visa issues. Despite the show being postponed 30-minutes because of a fire next door, it did little to dissuade anyone in the sold-out room from enjoying themselves. Tripwire contributing photographer Meg Clark was there, here is what she saw.

Ladyhawke will be playing U.S. gigs for the first time in just a few weeks, hitting L.A., New York and of course, SXSW. We just hope next time she comes over she’ll take her coat off and stay a while.

Yeah, this song in its original incarnation is a bit played. We know. But last Friday the song “My Delirium” from Ladyhawke’s self-titled debut came up on our playlist and it got stuck in our collective heads. Like, to the point where we were singing it all weekend and annoying our friends. Then we come to find out Pete Tong unveiled this Alex Metric re-mix of “Paris Is Burning” that very Friday and we figured it was a sign. So here you go.
