
As the Tripwire reported earlier in the month, Modest Mouse are releasing another limited edition 7″ on June 23rd. Spinner’s streaming “Autumn Beds” today, the single’s hushed title track and flip to “Whale Song,” the B-Side we’ll be previewing exclusively here on Thursday.

Entitled “Autumn Beds,” the 7″ is set to hit record stores on June 23rd and in addition to the titular A-Side, will include another as-of-now unreleased track, “Whale Song.” Black vinyl. Modest Mouse had planned on shelling out a new 7″ single with two new songs for Record Store Day this past April, but it never happened. The anticipated 7″ is now ready for release, however, and will finally be come out on May 26.

A little over a month ago, indie rock veterans The Shins announced the contract between their label, Sub Pop, and themselves had expired and the band was taking a “writing hiatus.” Now, Shins’ frontman James Mercer has revealed that the band has had some major line-up changes, as well as some news of a new Shins album coming out on Mercer’s own label.

The line-up for San Francisco’s second annual Outside Lands Music & Arts festival has been announced. The three-day festival will take place in late August at the Golden Gate park, and headliners include Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, M.I.A. Dave Matthews Band, and… Tom Jones.
