As we reported about a month ago, chief Woodstock promoter Michael Lang is planning two free Woodstock concerts in Berlin, Germany and in New York to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original 1969 festival. Back in March, the New York show didn’t have a venue, but they were hoping it would take place on the actual anniversary of August 15 and 16. Now reports have Lang eying Brooklyn’s Prospect Park as the NY destination, although the 15 and 16 of August would be out of the equation.

Here you have it, less than a week after Coachella’s line-up was finally released, this year’s Bonnaroo line-up has been announced. Mr. Super Bowl himself, Bruce Springsteen and his E Street band, alongside recently reunited jam-band-legends Phish, will be headlining the giant four-day music festival down in good ole Manchester, Tennessee on June 11-14.

As the countdown to festival season begins, some fests are happy to announce their line-ups (Langerado!) while others prefer to hold back. Keep people guessing. Build the anticipation. Of course that starts the rumor mills churnin’, and the first rumors about Coachella come from Rolling Stone, who are speculating that Britney Spears will make her way to the heralded festival this year.
