Hes baaaacck. Chris Brown was sued in Los Angeles County Superior Count on Wednesday by photographer Robert Rosen. According to the LA Times, Brown, who’s already facing possible prison time for assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna, was shooting hoops at an LA Fitness gym in Universal City when the altercation occurred on March 13.

Rosen was allegedly attacked by the pop star’s entourage after being spotted photographing Brown as he played basketball. Bodyguards allegedly picked the photographer up by his shorts before assaulting him, which we’re fairly sure is considered a wedgie. Right? MTV reported today that Brown posted a short video online this week telling fans, “I ain’t no monster.”

But still, they gave the guy a wedgie.

Ok, ok, ok, we swear we’re not trying to become the TMZ of the music industry, but since we’ve been following this story closely, we figured to give you the latest juice. Still, we feel a bit dirty about this one, so we’ll leave it to the professionals.

When the Chris Brown/Rihanna assault story first broke, we couldn’t deny our responsibility to keep you informed. But now that the seriousness of the assault has been revealed — we’ve come to the conclusion that Chris seriously needs some help.

Brown is expected to be arraigned this afternoon in California on charges of assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats. He remains free on a $50,000 bail. If he’s convicted, his possible sentence ranges from probation to four years and eight months in state prison.

The official charges and more detailed information from the affidavit (which you can download here) are made even more interesting by the recent reports that Rihanna and Brown have reconciled after being spotted at P. Diddy’s Star Island mansion recently. Regardless, most of the damage seems to be already done for Brown’s career — he’s been dropped from ad campaigns for both Wrigley’s gum and the Milk Moustache — which after reading this, we understand why.

The following is from an official statement on the events of the night given by Los Angeles Police Detective DeShon Andrews, from CNN.com. Rihanna is referred to throughout the documents as only Robyn F. Her full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty.

Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown’s cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.

“In the text message, Brown apologized for what he had done to Robyn F. and advised [the second personal assistant] that he was going to get help.”

We’re starting to feel like TMZ-lite over here, but we keep getting fed information regarding the Chris Brown and Rihanna story, that we’re compelled to share it with you.

As we reported earlier this week, R&B phenom Chris Brown is under investigation with the Los Angeles District Attorney after being charged with the alleged assault of girlfriend, and fellow artist, Rihanna, on Sunday morning. Now just a few days after the violent fight, new important details have surfaced, shedding light onto the brutal lover’s quarrel, leaving the D.A. wanting more insight into the case before Brown becomes a jailbird.

Rihanna and Brown allegedly began fighting after leaving Clive Davis‘ pre-Grammy party late Saturday night, leading them to L.A.’s Hancock Park, where the fight escalated and became violent. E! Online reported that Chris Brown threatened to kill the 20-year-old singer after she threw the keys of his Lamborghini on the ground.

The two then got out of the car, creating a spectacle witnessed by many bystanders that eventually led to Brown fleeing the scene, where Rihanna was apparently left near-unconscious, with visible injuries to her face, arms, and rest of her body — including bite-marks. When police arrived to the scene the singer was taken immediately to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was treated.

Rihanna’s people have yet to confirm that she was the victim of Chris Brown’s outrageous attacks, only saying, “Rihanna is well. Thank you for concern and support.” But inside sources have revealed to us that Rihanna was indeed involved in the fight, and that she and Brown were already broken up prior to the incident and were only keeping up appearances until after the Grammys.

Our source close to Rihanna PR camp revealed that the fight started over Chris Brown’s new girlfriend, who was allegedly trailing the two that night after they left Davis’ party. Rihanna then reportedly slapped Brown, which caused the singer to freak out and assault her. It has also been reported that Brown’s new girlfriend, whose identity is still unknown, is who Brown left the scene of the incident with.

On top of the assault charges, Brown, who is out on $50,000 bail, has now also been charged with assault with a deadly weapon in relation to the event. Though no weapons were found at the scene or in Brown’s car, the use of his fists could be considered ‘deadly’ in the attack of a woman.

Along of the backlash from the incident, Rihanna has just postponed her Malaysian concert. The Malaysian promoter Pineapple Concerts said Rihanna canceled the show “in light of recent events involving Rihanna,” according to the New York Times. Wrigley Gum has also canceled an advertising campaign featuring Brown as the new face for Doublemint gum, and many radio stations have opted to pull Brown’s music from airwaves until further information is revealed about the fight.

A night that could have ended in success, instead led to jail time at the Los Angeles police station for R&B singer Chris Brown. The Grammy nominated artist voluntarily turned himself into authorities last night after being investigated for an alleged assault early Sunday morning, purportedly involving his girlfriend Rihanna.

Both Brown and Rihanna were scheduled to perform at the music awards ceremony, but were nowhere to be seen at the event after canceling earlier on in the day. Brown finally turned himself into the LA police at 6:30 p.m., just as the Grammy’s were kicking off, according to Karen Smith, an LAPD officer.

The alleged incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday morning in L.A.’s Hancock Park, where Brown, 19, and an “unidentified woman” began to heatedly argue until the woman called 911 claiming Brown as her attacker, according to Us Magazine. Brown fled the scene of the incident, and when police found the victim, she appeared to have injuries.

Sources have not confirmed whether or not Rihanna was the assault victim, but the couple were reportedly seen together at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy party on Saturday night in Beverly Hills. Though a source reported to E! Online that the 20-year-old singer was seen adorned with bruises after the confrontation early Sunday morning, Rihanna has blamed her cancellation on a “traffic mishap.”

Brown is currently being held by police on $50,000 bail and will face court charges on March 5th. His actions are considered a felony, and the maximum penalty for Brown could result in a penalty of four years.
